// Who it’s for

Is it time to redesign your site?

A redesign makes sense when the business has moved on but the website hasn’t. These are the usual signs.

  • It looks dated

    Visitors judge the business by the site, and yours no longer matches the quality of your work.

  • It’s slow on phones

    Heavy sliders, old plugins and large images make pages slow on mobile data.

  • It brings few enquiries

    People visit, but services and the next step aren’t clear enough for them to get in touch.

  • It’s hard to update

    Small changes break the layout, or the theme and page builder are years out of date.

// What’s included

A redesign that keeps what works

Every redesign includes these. Hosting, paid plugins and new copywriting are listed separately in your proposal.

  • Site & SEO review

    Your best pages and search terms from Search Console, so nothing that ranks is lost.

  • URL map & redirects

    Every old URL mapped, with 301 redirects for anything that changes.

  • New custom design

    A modern layout built around your brand and what your customers need to see.

  • Mobile-first rebuild

    Designed for phones first, then checked on tablets and desktops.

  • Content tidy-up

    Existing text restructured into clear sections, headings and calls to action.

  • Faster pages

    Fewer plugins, compressed images and caching, checked with PageSpeed Insights.

  • SEO settings carried over

    Titles, descriptions, schema and sitemap moved across and improved.

  • Ready for AI search

    Clear answers and FAQs that Google and AI tools can quote.

  • Better enquiry paths

    WhatsApp, call and form buttons placed where visitors decide.

  • Built on staging

    Your live site stays online until you approve the new one.

  • Backups & security

    A full backup before the switch, plus SSL and security basics.

  • Editing guide

    A short video guide for updating text, images and pages.

// What changes

Same business, a better website

A redesign keeps your domain, your content and the pages that already rank. What changes is how the site looks, loads and guides visitors to get in touch.

Your domain staysYour content staysRedirects for changed URLs

Typical before

  • A layout built for desktops that breaks on phones
  • Slow pages weighed down by sliders and plugins
  • Services buried in long blocks of text
  • A contact form only at the very bottom
  • An old theme that’s risky to update

After the redesign

  • A mobile-first layout checked on real screen sizes
  • Lean pages with compressed images and caching
  • One clear section or page for each service
  • WhatsApp and call buttons where people decide
  • An up-to-date theme with fewer plugins

// FAQ

Website redesign questions

What owners usually ask before redesigning a WordPress site.

Still have a question? Ask me directly

How much does a website redesign cost?

A redesign of up to 5 pages starts from $449, and a redesign of up to 10 pages from $769 (USD), about 30% below what comparable freelancers typically charge. Larger sites and stores are quoted after a free call. You get a written quote with the full price before work starts.

How do payments work?

You pay 50% to start and 50% at launch, after you have reviewed the redesigned site on staging. Every payment comes with an invoice and a receipt, and the scope is agreed in a written proposal first.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

The redesign is planned to protect them. Your important pages and search terms are reviewed first, every old URL is mapped, and 301 redirects are set up for anything that changes. Rankings can still move for a short time after any big change, so I don’t promise they stay identical.

Will my site go offline during the redesign?

No. The new design is built on a staging copy while your live site stays online. The switch happens once you approve it, at a quiet time for your business.

Can I keep my existing content?

Yes. Your text, images and blog posts are carried over and tidied into the new layout. If some pages need new copy, Website Copywriting can be added.

How long does a redesign take?

Most redesigns of up to 10 pages take a few weeks. The timeline depends on the number of pages and how quickly feedback comes in, and it is confirmed in your proposal.

Can you redesign a site someone else built?

Yes. I work with most WordPress themes and page builders. If the current setup is very old or fragile, I’ll explain whether rebuilding parts of it is the safer option.

Do I need new hosting?

Not usually. If your hosting is slow or unreliable, I’ll recommend an option, but the redesign works on most good WordPress hosts.

What happens after launch?

You get 30 days of free fixes for anything that isn’t working as agreed. After that, you can manage the site yourself with the editing guide or choose the monthly Website Care Plan.
